Surf Casting Nantucket - Tuckernuck
Many anglers have heard how good the surf casting is on Tuckernuck Island but have never had the means to get there. That is, until now. Nantucket Adventures offers the ride that surf fishermen have been waiting for. We will take you over to the Island and drop you off on one of our Hot Spots that we know will be holding fish. Then you can freely walk and cast any way you choose. Some hearty anglers like to cast their way around the entire Island while following the fish and the tide. You need to pack everything you might need because you'll be on your own self directed trip of discovery fishing the legendary rips, edges, knuckles, coves, channels and flats that surround Tuckernuck. We then pick you, your fish and your memories up at a predetermined location and time to bring you home.
Light Tackle casting can be great fun in these waters. Wading in off the beach onto the legendary Tuckernuck Flats is an awesome experience for any dedicated angler. Sight fishing opportunities abound which is sure to get your heart racing. Light Tackle anglers will find that a 7 foot rod loaded with 8lb test line to be a great combination for some reel thrills.

We encourage fly fisherman to bring their equipment and we even have special locations that are perfectly suited to fly casters of varying experience levels. For the very experienced angler, there are locations that offer shallow water wading on the flats and sightcasting opportunities for both Striped Bass and Bluefish.
